Outdoor

I often recommend outdoor photography sessions for my clients that love an organic and natural charm because there’s no backdrop more stunning than the nature of Colorado Springs. When attending a session outdoors, I recommend wearing colors that won’t blend in with your backdrop; if you wear all-white in winter, you might get lost in the background of your photo. However, if you want the backdrop to also shine in the image, sticking to neutral colors can be a good idea. Comfortable footwear is also a must since we will be walking around to various scenes in your chosen location. Outdoor sessions are a great option if nature and adventure are your typical sceneries. Portrait photography is a fine art and an important, ever-lasting investment, but that doesn’t mean that it has to be stressful. My goal is to create a comfortable session for you and your loved ones with no-pressure, easy-going sessions. I’ll work my magic to provide you with a fine art experience and lasting memories, and all you need to do is relax, have fun, and follow my lead.

Here’s how it works: at the time of booking, you pay 50% of the overall price as a down payment to secure your spot in my calendar. Next, we’ll have a planning meeting, either in person or virtually, to answer any questions you have, make sure that we’re on the same page about what you want to accomplish, your vision, what you can expect from me, and anything noteworthy you would like to discuss beforehand.

The actual photography services will vary depending on what kind of services you’ve booked (family, senior, sports, etc.) The remaining 50% of your session fee will be due at the end of the session. This fee covers professional editing, printing rights, and an online gallery of your selected images. My turnaround times are quick, with your edited photos available within two weeks of the session.

My studio offers aesthetic diversity to capture your unique personality. If you prefer a more free-range, natural appeal, let’s discuss our outdoor options.

Family Photography

It is essential that everyone is dressed according to your desired outcome for family portrait sessions. Many families try to dress in coordinating colors, but it may be important to you to allow each individual to express themselves as they are in real life. If anyone in your family is sensitive to the temperatures outside or allergens in the air, my photography studio can be a great way to pose everyone comfortably. My studio can also accommodate diverse settings and surroundings. However, if your family doesn’t have to worry about temperatures, allergens, or accessibility of your location, the great outdoors always makes a great backdrop, especially if your family is outdoorsy.

Senior Photography

Graduating is such a significant life event and milestone, it’s definitely worth commemorating with graduation portraits. Students in graduation photography typically wear their graduation cap and gown with a semi formal outfit underneath. This is very versatile and can be styled on-site in many ways. You can zip your gown for the full effect, leave it open for a more casual look, or take it off entirely and just wear your graduation cap with your formal apparel. Students often choose a monochromatic scene with a simple backdrop, so the focus is on flattering lighting and the occasion is the centerpiece of the photograph. Some students prefer a thematic approach such as an in-studio academic setting or outdoors and on campus. I recommend scheduling your portrait session a few months in advance to ensure your preferred photographs are ready for any correlating events such as graduating party invitations or yearbook publishing. While my turnaround time to deliver your portraits is only a couple of weeks, graduation portrait services book up quickly.

Sports Photography is about capturing the athletes, coaches, fans, and spectators; I take high-quality photos to depict the mood and atmosphere of a sporting event, team, or individual athlete. With action shots and outrageous plays, I catch the important moments during a sporting event or meticulously communicate the athlete’s story through a beautiful static photography session.
